January 1st is quickly approaching.  And you know what that means ---- the cultural phenomenon of NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS!  Who is crossing their fingers that 2020 is the year their resolutions stick?  This year it's going to be different, right?
  • You are going to begin or up-level a gym routine.
  • You are going to eat foods that facilitate balance in your physical, mental, emotional being.
  • You are going to download those dating apps and jump into the dating world.
  • You are going to reach out to that person and have the tough conversation you've been putting off.
  • You are going to ask for the raise.
  • You are going to start the dream project that's been on the side burner.
  • You are going to cultivate a daily meditation practice.
And so on.

If you're a creative perhaps you may also have resolutions like-
  • You are going to land a survival job that doesn't suck your soul and facilitates what you need to pursue your dreams.
  • You are going to create your own work and not wait around to be commissioned or hired by someone else to live your dreams.
  • You are going to book yourself into being purely a creative/performer with no need for a survival job.
  • You are going get an agent/manager.
And so on.

Whatever your New Year's Resolutions may be, we are here to share a way to achieve them all.  Truly.  No gimmick.  Here it is......

Steps to achieving your New Year's Resolutions:
1.  Set a resolution (or in the work we do with POP - an INTENTION)
2.  Take consistent actions to achieve your resolution NO MATTER WHAT

That's it.  Simple as that.  Only 2 steps.  There will be obstacles, there will never not be.  But no matter what, take actions THROUGH them.  Utilize your obstacles to make your New Year's resolutions stick.  You are in charge of whether you succumb to your obstacles and give up or whether you transcend through them.

Utilizing your obstacles to make your New Year's resolutions stick would look something like this:
You set a gym resolution and you find one day that you haven't worked out yet in accordance with your resolution...and it's midnight... and you have to wake up early the next day...and the gym is closed...and you have no workout equipment at home...and it's been the worst day...and you walked up a lot of stairs today at work so that could count...and it's not really bad if you drop your resolution just for today, right...in this instance, it's probably "healthier" if you just go to bed and pick up your resolution again tomorrow, RIGHT?  **It is in these moments, specific to your own stories, that your actions in response to your obstacles seal the deal on whether you succeed or fail.**  It is in these moments that you have two choices-
  •  A. Succumb to your obstacle(s), and therefore choose to repeat the yearly cycle of
    dropping your resolution.
  •  B. Find a way to take an action through the obstacle(s) no matter what it is and no matter how "right" or "justified" it feels to succumb to.
    • For the purpose of the above example, choosing B would look something like: realizing it's midnight and that you haven't worked out yet, and as all of your "valid" obstacles pop up and spiral for your attention you let them burn as you pump out an at-home workout- yoga, sit-ups, pushups etc.
Choose B.  Always choose B.  Choosing B is how you will find out what you are truly made of.  Choosing B is how you expand.  Choosing B is how you transcend.  Choosing B is how you manifest a life beyond your wildest dreams.

Implement this tool to make your resolutions stick this year and watch your life shift before your eyes!  We are here to support as you do.
